PRESENTATION, DISCUSSION AND PUBLIC COMMENT ON THE DRAFT CLIMATE ACTION PLAN TO ADDRESS GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS AND REDUCTION STRATEGIES THROUGH 2030 FOR UNINCORPORATED NAPA COUNTY (APPROX. 2 HRS)
The Planning, Building and Environmental Services Department (PBES) has completed a Public Review Draft Climate Action Plan (CAP). Components of the CAP include:
- A baseline greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventory for 2014;
- GHG emissions forecasts and reduction targets for 2020, 2030, and 2050;
- GHG emissions reduction strategies and measures to meet targets;
- A climate change vulnerability assessment;
- Climate adaptation measures to build community resilience; and
- Implementation and monitoring mechanisms to ensure measures and targets are achieved.
PBES staff will provide an overview of the Draft CAP followed by comments and questions from the WICC and public. The completed Draft CAP is available under “Project Documents” at:

A 30-day public review period for the draft CAP began on January 26, 2017. All comments must be received before 4:45 p.m. on Friday, February 24, March 10, 2017.
