Transition Sonoma Valley (TSV) respects the privacy of its users. We realize that concerns about privacy and the secure transfer and use of personal information have increased with the growth of online services. That’s why TSV maintains strict privacy policies and uses state-of-the-art technologies to safeguard participant information.
What kind of information do we collect?
When you visit our Web site there are three kinds of information that we are likely to record:
- Non-personal statistical information collected in the aggregate.
This is anonymous information on subjects such as: how many visitors come to our Web site, how they navigate through the site, which browsers they use to visit the site, etc.
- Personal information that you knowingly supply to us.
When you sign up for certain tools or publications on the TSV Web site, we will collect personal information that will help us to identify you, authenticate you, and provide you better service in the future. This information is called “personally identifiable information” and is used to associate usage information with a specific individual or entity. Examples of personally identifiable information are: customer name, e-mail address, etc.
It is a common business practice to collect “personally identifiable information” in order to conduct business and provide participants with specific services. The emergence and popularity of the Internet provides TSV with an effective way to communicate with participants and meet their needs.
- Your e-mail address when you share it with us.
We use this information for the following purposes:
- We may notify users of news, upcoming events, site updates, and/or corrections.
- We occasionally may contact users to solicit feedback that will enhance the website.
We do not sell or trade participant information.
TSV will not sell or trade your personal information to any third party, absent authorization by you. We only collect your information in order to provide you with better services.
Receipt of E-mails
E-mail gives TSV a convenient avenue to communicate with its participants. We hope to periodically tell you about special events, new publications, and learning opportunities. We also may solicit your feedback and opinion in order to help us improve the site and make it more useful to you. TSV will not, however, send you e-mails if you do not wish to receive them. If at any time you would like to remove yourself from TSV’s e-mail list, you can do so by visiting the Manage Subscriptions page.
TSV does not seek to collect personal information from children under 18 years of age. We do not have any content on our site that would be considered harmful to children and certainly do not restrict children from visiting our site. We do not monitor the age of users of the TSV Web Site. However, if you are under the age of 18, you should not submit Personal Information on the TSV Web Site or any web sites without the consent of your parent or guardian.
