Watermark - Films for the Future #1 @ Sonoma Community Center - Andrews Hall

Watermark explores the massive impact that human intervention has had on the world’s water supply with images of astonishing (and terrifying) beauty.

Sonoma Community Center and Transition Sonoma Valley present Edward Burtynsky’s acclaimed film, WATERMARK, on January 23, 2015.

Shot in stunning 5K ultra high-definition video and full of soaring aerial perspectives, this film shows water as a terraforming element and the scale of its reach, as well as the magnitude of our need and use.

The film will be shown on a new 16’ theatrical screen on the Rotary Stage at Andrews Hall, and followed by informal conversation to encourage community dialogue and engagement. Doors will open at 7 p.m. Refreshments will be provided.

This new film series is co-sponsored by Transition Sonoma Valley and the Sonoma Community Center, with additional support from Whole Foods Sonoma and Lagunitas Brewery.
